I have 10 years of voice, diction/language, piano & music theory teaching experience. I currently am adjunct faculty at Pasadena City College teaching voice to music majors. Additionally, I teach ALL levels (from very beginner to advanced practitioners) of voice, language diction for singers, music theory, synthesis/electronic music production and beginner to intermediate piano privately from a studio in Highland Park, Los Angeles.
With a focus on embodiment of the voice and a philosophy that freeing alignment facilitates freedom of breath and voice, my passion is to tangle movement and vocal sound making into one that works for all different voice types, levels of experience and fields of interest in music.
With a Voice Performance--Bachelor of Music Degree from Bob Cole Conservatory of Music CSULB (2014), a Voice Arts--Master of Fine Arts Degree from CalArts (2016), and a highly active performance career, I teach voice from a place of seeking freedom and openness with healthy techniques and deep knowledge of the instrument. By freeing the instrument with foundational healthy breath, alignment, resonant techniques, intuitive movement, performance confidence, and-most importantly- enjoyment of music, I help each voice find their one-of-a-kind sound. With extensive training in (and while actively performing) Classical, experimental, Jazz, contemporary, improvisatory music, I assist students in finding the right repertoire, performance opportunities and creating musical goals for their unique abilities, and desires.
